Can I use your products in Powerpoint? Our Sermon Illustrators, Devotional Discoveries, Countdowns, and Stills products are great for PowerPoint users. However, Powerpoint does not allow you to overlay text onto moving video, so although you can play our video backgrounds, you cannot project song lyrics etc. over our worship backgrounds or long plays in PowerPoint. To use our worship backgrounds, we recommend purchasing one of the worship presentation software packages available that are specifically designed for churches. (See Worship Software on our Products page) Back to Top I am having trouble viewing your previews, what should I do?Our previews are encoded in Flash and so they require that you have a Flash player installed in order to view them. When viewing a product page for the first time wait for the page to load completely before you click on a preview. If you see a window pop up asking you to install flash click on the install button. Clicking on a preview will open the preview window but it will be blank (white) if you don't have flash installed.
We decided to use Flash to encode our videos so that we could deliver higher resolution previews that load much faster than the lower resolution mpeg previews we used before.
Also if you click on a preview before the window loads completely the preview window will open at the bottom of the page and will not display the preview. In this case, wait for the page to finish loading and click on the preview again. Back to Top I can't get your video to play in my DVD player?Make sure you have a DVD. The majority of our products are on CDs or data DVDs, designed to play in your computer not on a DVD player.
Our Sermon Illustrators, Devotional Discoveries and Countdowns #4 are available on DVD. If you are having problems with one of these, please give us a call. Note that Countdowns #4 comes packaged with both a regular DVD and a data DVD.
To use any of our products in your worship software or PowerPoint, insert the CD, data DVD, or Sermon Illustrator DVD into your computer’s DVD/CD drive and copy the MPEG1 folder onto your hard drive (Quicktime folder if you’re using Sunday Plus).
Back to Top What computer specs do you need to be able to use these video backgrounds? It really depends on the software you are using. Generally, you need a processor around 1.5 ghz and a good bit of ram (128mb or more). You will need either 2 video cards, or a video card that supports dual monitor display. This is so that you can project a different image than what the person controlling the presentation sees. Back to Top What formats do your products come in?All of our video products are available as MPEG1 files (Stills are JPEG). When you download a video file, you always get the MPEG1 version. Our Worship Backgrounds also come on CD, with the MPEG1 files and JPEG files included, as well as either the MPEG2 or Quicktime and WMV files. Our Devotional Discoveries can be purchased either on DVD or on CD (MPEG1 files). Our Sermon Illustrations are on DVD, with the MPEG1 files included.
We are beginning to duplicate some of our products on data DVDs rather than CDs, as DVDs provide more space so we can include the Quicktime and WMV files in addition to the MPEG1 files. Countdowns 4, Long Plays 3, Visual Christmas 2, and Autumn Scenes are on data DVDs. Countdowns 4 also includes a standard DVD for play in a DVD player. The other countdowns and long plays are on CDs. To use any of our products in your worship software or PowerPoint, insert the data DVD or CD into your computer’s DVD/CD drive and copy the MPEG1 or Quicktime folder onto your hard drive All the presentation software packages can use MPEG1 files, and, depending on your computer may be able to use the MPEG2 files. If using SundayPlus, we recommend using the Quicktime files when available. Back to Top What is the resolution of your clips? The MPEG-1 files are a minimum 640x480, the MPEG-2 files a minimum of 720x480. The JPEG's are 720x480. With our newer releases however, the minimum resolution for the MPEG-1 files is 800x600 (the JPEG's will also be 800x600). The high-definition files are 1280x720.Back to Top What software will let me put text over video?Easy Worship, Media Shout, Song Show Plus, Presentation Manager, SongBase, Song Screen Liquid, and SundayPlus are among the more popular programs. Back to Top What worship software do you recommend? There are several good products on the market, and which one is best for you depends on your church's needs. Some factors to look at are: How many computers do I need to put the software on? How many Bible versions do I need? Who will be operating the software? What kind of computer space do I have? Price? What features are most important to our church? We do not make a worship software product ourselves, but as a service to our customers, we do offer software from four other companies. Go to Products, Worship Software for more information, and feel free to call us if you have questions. Back to Top I had a problem with my download, and I closed the receipt page. What do I do now?Just log into your account and click on the download center link. You can re-download all of your purchases for 3 days after the purchase date. If you need to re-download an older purchase, click on 'Request a download reset'. If you still have problems you can always call us during business hours (8:30-5:30 EST M-F) or you can email us anytime at info@worshipfilms.com. Back to Top I ordered a download from a collection, then decided I wanted the whole collection. Can I get a refund for the download?Yes. Call us or put a comment on your order letting us know that you previously ordered downloads and want to credit them toward the purchase of the collection. Include your invoice numbers if available to speed up the process. Back to Top I prefer to purchase the CD, but I need one of the videos from it today! If you order the CD/DVD, the download version will be available to you in your customer center (click on Download Center) for 3 days. So, feel free to download and use what you need right away!
This doesn't apply to items such as our package deals that don't have a downloadable option, so if you need a specific scene from a package deal order, call or e-mail us.
Back to Top I'm new to downloading video clips. What do I need to know?First of all, make sure you have access to a high speed internet connection to download video files, as most files are too large to transfer on a dial-up connection. Also, the files are zip files, so if you don't have Windows XP as your operating system make sure you have the latest version of WinZip loaded on your computer (available at WinZip.com), or a comparable program. If you do have Windows XP as your operating system, it has built in features that allow you to unzip files. When you order a download from WorshipFilms.com, you will get a receipt page with a blue download button by the product name. Follow these steps to download:
Windows XP
1. Click the blue download button on your receipt page or in your download center (if receiving a link in an e-mail, click on the link or copy it to your browser.) 2. Choose SAVE on the File Download Screen (watch to see where it is saving the file to on your computer) 3. When the download is complete, choose OPEN on the File Download Screen. 4. In the left column click on extract all files. This will open the Extraction Wizard. 5. Click Next. 6. Specify where you want your file to go, then click next and finish.
Other Operating System
1. Click the blue download button on your receipt page or in your download center (or if receiving a link in an e-mail, click on the link or copy it to your browser.) 2. Choose SAVE on the File Download Screen (watch to see where it is saving the file to on your computer) 3. When the download is complete, choose OPEN on the File Download Screen. 4. This should take you to WinZip. Choose EXTRACT. 5. Specify where you want the file to go, then Click EXTRACT. 6. Your video will then be saved to the folder you specify and ready to use. It can be burned to a CD if you want a back up copy or need to take it to another computer at your church. Back to Top Can you bill our church?Yes. Log in to your account and click on payment options in the customer center. Fill out the billing application and click submit. Once approved you will have a BILL ME button on the payment screen of the shopping cart. If you prefer, you may call us and order by phone.Back to Top Do you have any specials or pricing breaks for customers ordering in large quantities?Definitely. Check out our Super Package Deals on our Products page. If these packages don't suit your needs AND you are ordering 4 or more collections (each priced at $49.00 or more), call us and we can try to help you create your own package deal. Also, we often have a monthly special with great discounts, so check our site frequently. Back to Top How fast can I get your products? How do you ship?Immediately, if you want to download. Even if you ordered the CD/DVD version of a collection, the downloadable version of your collection will be available in your download center for a week after you order (doesn't apply to package deals -- e-mail or call to request a specific download if needed).
We have two shipping options: $5.50 for first-class mail or $17.00 for overnight delivery. We always try to fill an order the same day we get it and we are located in North Carolina, so with our flat delivery fee of $5.50 allow a week for coast to coast deliveries and 2 or 3 days if you are in the Southeast. Out-of-country orders are shipped Global Priority for $14.00 ($24 for more than 2 items) and the time varies greatly depending on location and custom issues. We have found it takes at least 7 days to Canada or the UK, and there may be custom charges. International mail can get delayed in customs, so please allow at least two weeks for a package to arrive. Back to Top What if I am taping a service to broadcast on our local TV channel, or to make CD/DVDs for people who want a copy of the service? When you are taping a service where WorshipFilms.com products are being used on your screens, there is usually no problem. Copyright issues would only come up if you wanted to, let's say, copy a Sermon Illustrator directly to a CD/DVD which will be distributed or want to use one of our clips in a piece you are editing for sale or distribution. Feel free to call us for special permission for such cases, or in any situation you have questions about copyright. Back to Top What kind of rights do I have for your product once I purchase it?In general, all of our products can be used in any manner you find most helpful by the church which purchased them. Feel free to use a JPEG image on your bulletin, include a piece from a background in a video you are editing for use in a service, and load our videos on your sanctuary computer, kids church computer, and youth service computer, any use for a service at your church or a church-sponsored function is fine. We ask that you do not pass along download links or CDs for use in other churches. We, of course, want you want to share WorshipFilms.com with other churches, but the best (and legal) way to do that is to direct them to our website! Back to Top Can you help me choose backgrounds for our services? The backgrounds which will work best for your church will of course depend on your style of service and personal preferences. However, our 'Find the Right Background' feature, found at the bottom of our home page and other selected pages, can help. Type in the name of a song, and it will give you suggested backgrounds for that song. This database is continually growing, so if you don't see what you need let us know. Or, if you have a favorite background for a particular song, pass it on to us and we can add it. We just need the song title and author. Whenever you are choosing backgrounds, three things to take into consideration are your congregation's taste (for example, the youth backgrounds are a bit extreme for most Sunday morning services); the song's theme (if you're singing about the cross, there are lots of great cross backgrounds!); and the song's tempo (don't use a fast-moving video for a song with a slow tempo). Back to Top Explain the two search boxes you offer please! The Keyword Search box at the top of each page is our general search function. If you are looking for a Sermon Illustrator for Mother's Day, for example, you could search using a key word such as 'mother,' 'parenting,' or 'Mother's Day.' If you are looking for a background with crosses in it, search using the word 'cross,' etc.
We also have a Search by Song feature. This box is found at the bottom right of the Home page or nearer the top on the Backgrounds and Long Plays pages. This search function is to look for a specific song and find recommended backgrounds for that song. For example, if you are looking for a background for 'Heart of Worship' by Matt Redman, you could type in 'heart of worship,' 'heart,' or 'Redman.'
Back to Top I'm new to using multimedia in worship. Could you explain your different products to me?Worship Backgrounds Worship Background are video images, ranging from beautiful nature scenes to abstract computer animations, designed for use as backgrounds for projected song lyrics, scriptures, or announcements. All Worship Backgrounds are moving images (for example, the trees may be blowing in the wind or the candle flame flickering). The clips are loopable, meaning the scene will play continuously without any jerks or stops. They do not include any background music, as they are designed for use in live worship. Our Worship Background collections are available for download in MPEG1 format and on CD, which includes MPEG1; MPEG2 or Quicktime; and JPEG (still picture) formats. Long Plays Long Plays are collections of extended, multi-scene worship backgrounds. Like our Worship Backgrounds, these loopable video backgrounds are designed for projecting words over moving imagery, and are also great for use with special music and choir presentations. Each Long Play runs from 3.5 to 7 minutes before looping. We have a wide variety of these long playing backgrounds--check out our collections for Christmas, Easter and patriotic occasions! Long Plays are available on CD/data DVD or for download in an MPEG1 format and do not have any music included. Stills Our Stills for Worship and Stills from the Holy Land are collections of still, JPEG images--great for PowerPoint users! These images can be used as backgrounds (for songs, sermon notes, etc.) or in printed materials (bulletins, teaching notes etc.). Our Bible Stories are still-image slides of cartoon drawings especially for kids church. Countdowns 5-minute countdown timers are a great start to your next service. Each video starts at 5:00 and counts down to 0. These videos include background music. Whether you are looking for a high-tech blast into your youth service or some interest-catching Bible trivia, we have a countdown to suit your tastes. Our Countdowns MPEG1 format enables you to play them in worship presentation software, media players, or in PowerPoint. Available on CD/DVD or for download. Sermon Illustrators Jesus used parables, stories that relate to human experience, to illustrate his teachings. Now you can use Sermon Illustrators to drive your message home. These short dramatic or comedic vignettes, man-on-the street interviews, and dramatized music videos are great starters for your next sermon or small-group discussion. Sermon Illustrators are available in a variety of relevant topics on DVD, with the MPEG1 files also included, or you can download individual clips from our website (MPEG1 format). Devotional Discoveries A favorite for churches who are transitioning into using multimedia in worship, our Devotional Discovery clips are 1.5 to 2.5 minute clips setting scriptures and prayers to video. A Devotional Discovery video works well as a moving call-to-worship, an offeratory meditation, or for a time of congregational reflection and includes background music. Available for individual download or in collections of 10 clips on DVD or CD. Back to Top I'm preaching about ______________ next week and want to find a video to go with this topic.Use our general search function, which is found at the top of each page. Type in a topic (examples: forgiveness, parenting, incarnation) to see related videos. If you need a particular type scene for a background (fire, flowers, cross, communion), use this search function as well. Our other search box, found toward the bottom of selected pages, relates to finding a background for a specific song. (see previous FAQ's about search functions) You are always welcome to call or email us and we will do our best to help you find what you need. Back to Top Can I apply my Video Rewards balance and use a valid customer code on the same order?Yes.Back to Top Can point balances belonging to different members of the same church or organization be combined? No. Our IT guy is shaking his head “no”. Back to Top Do the points expire? Not until Jesus comes back.Back to Top What about purchases that I have made prior to May 22, 2007?Unfortunately, our accounting system does not permit us to award points retroactively.Back to Top What happens if I have more points than I need to satisfy the amount of my current purchase? The Video Rewards program will only deduct the amount of points necessary to discount your purchase total to $0.00. The leftover points will remain in your account for future use. Back to Top
